ADULT DOSAGE

1-2 capsules at night an hour before retiring. If required during the day for calming benefits, 1 or 2 capsules can be taken with food, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare professional.

Q What is Valerian and how can it help a restful night’s sleep?
A Valerian has been used traditionally to help aid relaxation and provide a sense of calm. It promotes a restful night’s sleep, and research indicates that it helps reduce ‘sleep latency’ - the time it takes to fall asleep. Valerian also helps counter stress and anxiety.

Q What is 5-HTP and how does it help sleep patterns?
A 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin, a natural brain neurotransmitter involved in regulating sleep and mood. Healthy serotonin levels are required for adequate sleep and relaxation and to maintain balanced mood. Low levels of serotonin can lead to depression and disrupted sleeping patterns. Stress, poor diet and overwork can reduce serotonin levels causing changes in sleeping habits. 5-HTP (Hydroxytryptophan) is sourced from the African plant Griffonia simplicifolia

Q How long do I need to keep taking Kordel’s agewise® Sleep Formula?
A Long term benefits are seen after continued use, when normal sleep patterns are re-established. Lifestyle changes can also help. Reduction of caffeine, alcohol and nicotine intake combined with regular balanced meals and regular exercise can benefit insomnia and restless sleep conditions. Avoiding stimulating activities and maintaining low lighting in the evening can also be beneficial.
